A retrospective of paintings by Laura Carter and photographs by the late Ulrich Kretschmar. Their individual work as artists spans over half a century. Also included in this retrospective is joint work, in the form of photographic montages. These painting/photograph combinations by the husband/wife team began decades ago and blend their individual interpretations of Canada’s diverse and spectacular landscape into unusual images.
June 3/4, 2017: Painting – Adrift in Time – commissioned for the 150th year of the Confederation of Canadian and Orillia Incorporation for the Orillia Vocal Ensemble for The Canadian Choral Panarama, June 3rd at Discovery Centre, Gravenhurst at 7:30 pm and at St. Paul’s Centre, June 4th, 3 pm. Limited edition prints and commemorative posters are available.
Season Opening reception: Saturday, July 22, 2017, 2-5 p.m. Open weekends (Fri -Sun) from the May long weekend until mid-June; then daily (10-5) until mid-September, 2017.
